Student Council
PS 177's Student Council meets once a week to discuss current school issues and plan for upcoming community and school wide events. Student Council consists of nominated students who go through an interview process and are expected to be role models for their peers by showing 177 expected behaviors (Communicate Achieve Respect Engage and Self Control). The Student Council holds an annual election coinciding with Election Day to nominate a President and Vice President to attend meetings and advocate for their peers. Yearly events include an annual City Harvest Food Drive, Breast Cancer Walk/Fundraiser, Book Sale, Valentine's Day Sale and collaboration with other school wide events. Student Council meets every Thursday Period 7 12:45-1:30 PM.
