Worksites

At P177Q, we are committed to providing our students with the best vocational training to prepare them for successful futures after completing our program. This year, we have secured 25 community work sites, including CVS, Walgreens, pizzerias, Panera Bread, and adult centers. We have also launched three work-study classes that help students develop real job skills at our elementary site, Queens Library, and Cohen Children's Hospital.

In addition to these community opportunities, we have created an in-house job training program that allows our students to practice essential skills that are important to the workforce. This training includes various practical experiences, such as a mock CVS, Panther Depot, supermarket, Cricut class, card shop, custodial work, and culinary training. Students can apply to participate in these classes, with some potentially earning incentives for their work.

At P177Q, we also value sustainability and teaching our students about nature, animals, and the environment. Last year, we partnered with community members to enhance our programs by adding a chicken coop, creating outdoor gardens, and establishing indoor hydroponic facilities.
