Monday: Pajama Day
We kicked off the week with Pajama Day, where both staff and students embraced the cozy spirit by wearing their favorite comfy pajamas. During our Pajama Day celebration, Ms. Noon organized a delightful cookie exchange for the staff. This sweet event allowed teachers to share their favorite cookie recipes while mingling and enjoying some tasty treats. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect, try new flavors, and spread holiday cheer through delicious baked goods.
Tuesday: Annual Holiday Party
On Tuesday, we hosted our annual holiday party, themed "Holidays in New York City." Our gym was transformed into a lively celebration, showcasing many iconic New York City landmarks. The event featured a delightful snack section, sensory activities, a photo booth, arts and crafts, dancing, and video games. The highlight of the day was a fantastic music holiday show where Mr. Heggarty, Mr. Goldberg, and Ms. Nemirow showcased a variety of festive numbers. Our talented students participated enthusiastically, singing cheerful holiday songs that filled the air with joy.
Special Guest: Martin Van Buren Site
We were thrilled to have a special visit from the Martin Van Buren site, which added an extra layer of excitement to our festivities!
Wednesday: Grinch Day
Our week continued with Grinch Day, where the spirit of the season was evident in the vibrant green throughout the hallways.
Thursday: Ugly Sweater Day
On Thursday, we kicked off our day with a festive holiday breakfast organized by the administration. This gathering brought everyone together to enjoy a variety of delicious breakfast treats while celebrating the joyous spirit of the season. It was a wonderful way to fuel up for the day and share warm moments with colleagues and friends before diving into the festivities of Ugly Sweater Day. This allowed everyone to show off their most outlandish holiday attire.
Friday: Flannel Day
Finally, we wrapped up the week with Flannel Day, encouraging everyone to embrace the cozy vibes of the season.
