September 11th Rededication Ceremony of the 9/11 Memorial Garden

Led by Ms. O'Donnell and our event coordinator Ms. Rice, students took part in the ceremony by welcoming guests, reciting the pledge, singing the national anthem, and cutting the ribbon. All administrators attended, along with many classes. Mr. Duffy shared inspiring words, encouraging everyone to volunteer and visit to enjoy the garden,

Classes from all our sites contributed by painting cement bricks to honor and celebrate those who have fallen and the heroes of that day. These bricks will be placed in the garden. As Ms. O'Donnell remarked, "Each brick laid is to acknowledge those who lost their lives in 2001, and the soil and plants signify hope and renewal of the human spirit."

Following the ribbon-cutting, classes walked around the garden beds, tossing seed balls to fill in the gaps. We hope this effort will lead to vibrant plants and colorful flower beds.

This rededication was truly inspiring and heartfelt. We hope that our students and staff can find joy, self-care, and wellness when visiting the 9/11 Memorial Garden.
